The Traveling Triad

Every plein air painter eventually discovers the same secret: three tubes are enough. A rose, a yellow, and a blue, chosen well, will mix most of a landscape and every color they make will belong to the same family, which is why paintings from one triad hold together the way bigger palettes never quite do. This folio works the classic vibrant triad: quinacridone rose, hansa yellow, phthalo blue, the watercolor cousin of the printer's own primaries. The plates walk its three arcs, find the gray hiding in the middle of the bag, stand at the edge of what three tubes cannot reach, and end with the one-tube swap that turns the whole kit quiet. Pack these three and go.
