The Clean Pair

The Complementary Mixtures folio taught you to kill chroma on purpose. This one teaches the opposite skill: keeping it alive. Acrylic is the high-chroma medium, built on modern organic pigments that oil painters had to wait centuries for, and the fastest way to waste them is to mix across the wheel. Every mixture pays a chroma tax equal to the distance between its parents: neighbors mix clean, opposites mix mud, and nothing in between is free. The plates here walk the clean routes to violet, orange, and green, include one honest failure so you can see the tax collected in full, and end with the bill for crossing the whole wheel. Mix neighbors, not opposites, and your color survives the well.
